Creating A Culture of Honor That The Lord Can Bless

 Honor! What an important word. It means to esteem highly, to respect, to value. The first commandment that carries with it a blessing involves "honor."

Ex 20:12
12 "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
NKJV

As 2014 approaches we are hearing clear words from the Lord that we are to re-dig the wells of our fathers. We are to reconnect with the revivals and anointing of the past in order to receive the anointing, truths, gifts, and blessings that were the refreshing wells of their generation. As we do this, we are promised that their anointing, gifting and blessings will come to us as a "double-portion" for our generation. The double-portion is that we are blessed to mingle and unite their revelations, blessings and anointing with those God is releasing in our time. The result is the true "double-portion." The double portion was given to the eldest son as a stewardship of the family honor, wealth, and name. When one of the younger sons had the misfortune of going bankrupt, he could come to the "double-portion" elder brother for a new start.

If ever there has been a need for double-portion elder sons to help a bankrupt generation, it is today! We see bankruptcy of the spiritual inheritance in epidemic proportions. When in fact, this generation is meant to walk in the most powerful generation's multiplication of double-portion blessing of all time. What has happened to subvert this blessing? What diabolical scheme have we accepted that has short-circuited the power our great King has purposed for today's sons and daughters? The revelation and restoration of what God intends for His end-time purposes revolves around this word "honor."

In America especially, there has been a systematic destruction and dishonoring of our founding fathers, spiritual leaders, and honored institutions. This has not come by accident. The spirit of dishonor and lawlessness is pouring forth in almost every educational center, motion-picture, music genre,o and books of every sort. The sad result is that we now have a bankrupt society that has no double-portion elder brother to turn to for a new beginning.

Yet the great news is that we saw the Lord Jesus Christ reconnecting the power of the previous generations to those of us who are serving Him today. It is indeed His purpose throughout 2014 to multiply the blessing and anointing in such proportions we are presently unable to conceive the fullness of what He is doing. Indeed -I saw the Lord take two giant cables - one in each hand and bring them together so that they fused into one seamless cable of such power that nothing would be able to stop the Glory resulting from this unity. This uniting began to draw multitudes of the Lost to the glory!

I was reminded of the passage of scripture where Isaac re-dug the wells of His father Abraham until Isaac had a well of His own. Not only did Isaac re-dig his father's wells but he ultimately gained an identity and well of his own. He dug his own well that brought unlimited blessings to all who were associated with him.

Gen 26:18
18 And Isaac dug again the wells of water which they had dug in the days of Abraham his father, for the Philistines had stopped them up after the death of Abraham. He called them by the names which his father had called them.

As soon as I heard this word from the Lord, I began to read again the stories of the Welsh Revival, Azusa Street, John G. Lake, William Booth, David Brainerd, Aimee Simple McPherson, and many others. As I prayerfully re dug these thrilling spiritual wells of my Fathers, my hunger and fire has been growing daily. My hope and vision for the work of the Kingdom of God has been multiplying and my heart is burning with a new fire and passion. All of this when most men my age are thinking of retiring. I think one of the greatest tragedies we are facing today is that we are losing the blessings of the spiritual fathers and mothers of our time because we have failed to create a culture of honor for them to flow and live in the season of their latter years.

Dear one, I believe the Lord has shown me what to do and how to create the culture for the flowing of double-portion wells of our Fathers. It all revolves around the way we handle not just the successes of these men and women of God but most especially their failures Will you ask the Lord to give you a hunger to re-dig the wells?

Imagine... a body of Christian believers all speaking, declaring, and proclaiming God's strategic word for this moment in history. Will you join us in this strategic moment of history so that the Church may fulfill its end-time destiny?
